The work Un cuarto para el cante condenses the pictorial features of Francisco Moreno Galván. Created in 1974, the figures show a clear expressionism in their outline, which, as the professor of Art History Enrique Valdivieso affirms, is not a dramatic expressionist, but an expressionist of feeling. It is the feeling of love for his people, for his culture and for flamenco that motivates Francisco's painting and lyrics.
The scene takes place in a room of austere appearance, with cold tones, where no decoration can be seen. The center of the composition is a table with a small still life, where the singer bursts in with beats marking the rhythm of the singing. His other hand is on the shoulder of the guitarist, who looks at him with complicity. His audience listens attentively, and some of them decide to accompany him with clapping.
The feet of the characters, almost all of them barefoot, step on a floor that is striking because it does not follow the logical perspective, but seems to be directed vertically, creating a sense of instability.
